On Thursday, Fountaine Pajot reported 'solid' results for its 2021/2022 financial year, marked in particular by an improvement in its operating performance.

At the end of its financial year ending August, the catamaran and monohull manufacturer said that sales had risen by 8.7% to 219.9 million euros.

Although hampered by tensions over supplies and recruitment, business was buoyed by international sales and the return of sales to professional charterers, explains the group.

EBITDA came to 33.4 million euros, compared with 32.9 million euros a year earlier, as higher costs were more than offset by the impact on boat rates.

At August 31, 2022, cash flow from operating activities stood at 54.6 million euros.

Operating income came to 25.9 million euros, up 10.4% on the previous year, while net income (Group share) improved sharply to 15.9 million euros from 11.6 million euros a year earlier.

With regard to its outlook, the company stated that it was anticipating a "strong sales dynamic" for a new year of growth in the 2022/2023 financial year

"The quality and depth of the order book mean that we can look forward to another year of sales growth", says the company, which is also planning to welcome 150 new employees.

Quoted on the Paris Bourse, Fountaine Pajot shares were up 3.9% at the end of the morning, limiting their decline since the start of the year to around 22%.
