Saudi Arabia Fertilizers Co. reported earnings results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2016. For the quarter the company reported net profit of 24.9% year-on-year decline of SAR 284.5 million partly due to lower selling prices of products and higher feedstock and utilities costs. Sales revenue slipped 6% year on year to SAR 765 million, despite increased sales volume of urea and ammonia, with operating profit falling 15.0% to SAR 290.9 million. For the year of 2016, the company reported net profit of SAR 1.05 billion, down by 50.7% from the previous corresponding period. Sales revenues were down 24% at SAR 2.86 billion. Operating profit fell 51.3% to SAR 980.3 million.
