Totetsu Kogyo Co., Ltd. (TSE:1835) agreed to acquire 64.88% stake in Kowa Kasei Co., Ltd. from Kyokuto Kogen Concrete Shinko Co., Ltd. for approximately ¥1 billion on February 8, 2013. Totetsu Kogyo Co., Ltd. entered into an agreement to acquire 64.88% stake in Kowa Kasei Co., Ltd. from Kyokuto Kogen Concrete Shinko Co., Ltd. for approximately ¥1 billion on March 21, 2013. Totetsu Kogyo will acquire 64,880 shares of Kowa Kasei. Kowa Kasei reported net assets of ¥1.8 billion, total assets of ¥5 billion, sales of ¥5.5 billion, operating profit of ¥366 million and net income of ¥90 million for the period ended March 2012. The Board of Directors of Totetsu Kogyo resolved the transaction on February 8, 2013.
