DCM Co., Ltd. agreed to acquire 18.99% stake in T.O. Retailing Co., Ltd. from T.O. Holdings CO.,LTD. (JASDAQ:9812) for approximately ¥480 million on July 15, 2021. DCM Co., Ltd. will acquire 380 shares in T.O. Retailing Co., Ltd. The board of directors have resolved the deal. The transaction is expected to close on July 16, 2021.
T.O. Holdings CO.,LTD., formerly T.O.OGASAWARA CO., LTD. is primarily engaged in the sale of timber, building materials, clothing and furniture, among others. The Timber segment provides raw wood, building materials and plywood for general buildings. The Distribution segment is engaged in sale and installment sale of clothing, furniture, household appliances and goods, among others. The Residential segment is engaged in sale and construction of detached housing, condominiums, residential land and others. The Construction segment is engaged in civil engineering, pavement work, construction of office buildings and commercial facilities, among others. The Real Estate Leasing segment is engaged in the leasing of lands and buildings. The Automobile segment is engaged in sale and repair of automobiles. The Company is also engaged in the operation of sports clubs and insurance agencies, as well as other business.
