Southwestern Energy said it would cut about 100 jobs in its Marcellus Shale operations in the Pittsburgh region as the natural gas industry slump continues. It wasn't immediately clear how many of those would be outright layoffs, as Southwestern said in an SEC filing that some of the employees could accept what it said were reduced roles within the company.
