General Electric Co. signed a long-term agreement with a consortium formed by Macquarie Capital (USA) Inc. and Techint S.a. De C.v. to provide total plant service solutions for the 907-MW Norte III combined-cycle power plant in Mexico. GE's Power Services business and the consortium inked an operation and maintenance contract and a contractual service contract valid for 25 years. Under the agreement, GE will also provide provides a full spectrum of digital solutions and plant improvement services for the facility's equipment. The Norte III power plant is currently under development in the municipality of Ciudad Juárez, in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico, across the Rio Grande River from El Paso, Texas. In 2015, Mexico's Federal Electricity Commission commissioned the development of the facility to help meet the region's growing electricity demand.
