S&P 500 : Attempted bullish eviction
American indices are driven by calmness in trade negotiations. The SP500 has taken the opportunity to rebound by 3% since the recent low of August 23
The values that drive the index up are in the majority. Nevertheless, some sectors stand out ostentatiously, such as semiconductors, which gained 8.5% over the same reference period. Seagate Technology (+10%) and Lam Research (+9.5%) are the main contributors to this sectorial movement.
Graphically, in daily data, prices attempt to extract beyond the 2955 point resistance. A confirmation of the graphical overtaking would pave the way to the recent historical highs at 3025 points. On the other hand, a return under the lower bound would replace the index in the trend of lateralisation set up over the last month with 2840 points as support.
