Starbucks Corp. on Thursday said Patrick Grismer is retiring as executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective Feb. 1.

The Seattle coffee chain said Rachel Ruggeri, currently senior vice president of finance, Americas, will succeed Mr. Grismer as executive vice president and chief financial officer on that date.

Starbucks said Mr. Grismer, who joined as chief financial officer in late 2018, will remain as an adviser to President and Chief Executive Kevin Johnson through May 2 to assist with the transition.

Ms. Ruggeri joined Starbucks in 2001 as a member of the accounting team.
