Samhwa Paints Industrial Co., Ltd. (KOSE:A000390) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to KRW 5,000 million worth of own shares pursuant to a contract with KB Securities Co., Ltd. The purpose behind the program is to improve shareholder value and to stabilize stock price. The repurchase program will expire on February 28, 2021. As of February 27, 2020, the company had 3,800,000 treasury shares within scope available for dividend and no shares in treasury through other repurchase.
SAMHWA PAINTS INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD. is a Korea-based company mainly engaged in the production and sale of paints. Along with subsidiaries, the Company operates its business through four segments. The Paint Segment manufactures and sells architectural, industrial paints. It is also involved in the production and sale of paints for phase change materials (PCMs). The Transportation Arrangement segment provides transportation and storage services for raw materials and products.
