Cognizant Technology Solutions said Monday it would continue to manage Gilead Sciences' global information technology infrastructure for five years in a deal worth up to $800 million.

The Teaneck, N.J.-based IT company said it would handle Gilead's digital transformation and help expand cloud operations and data analytics.

Cognizant has provided similar services for Gilead, a biopharmaceutical company, for the past three years. The continuation of the relationship would bring a total expected value of $800 million over five years, Cognizant said.

The company said it would help integrate generative artificial intelligence and AI automation to help Gilead's customer service.
