General Electric Company (NYSE:GE) fell more than 4% intraday, after it emerged that Nelson Pelts's Triad Fund Management is reportedly pushing General Electric to explore possible sales or spinoff of many of its businesses. Trian Founding Partner and GE Director Ed Garden is said to have been spending much time lately with GE Chief Executive Officer John Flannery, and Trian is reportedly behind GE's decision to explore such sales.
