Calin Technology Co., Ltd. Reports Earnings Results for the First Quarter Ended March 31, 2021

Calin Technology Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2021. For the first quarter, the company announced total revenue was TWD 476.675 million compared to TWD 221.873 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 29.248 million compared to operating loss of TWD 44.824 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 27.918 million compared to net loss of TWD 40.081 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.24 compared to basic loss per share of TWD 0.35 a year ago.
CALIN TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the research, development, design, manufacture and distribution of optical components. The Company primarily provides glass molding lenses, which are applied in the manufacture of light emitting diode (LED) products, mobile phones, digital cameras and liquid crystal projectors; plastic products, which include spherical and aspherical lenses, cases and other plastic parts; glass lenses, which are applied in mobile phones, scanners, medical equipment and others; precision optical coating films, which include coatings for plastic lenses, glass lenses and other specialty products; lens assembly, which include lenses of mobile phones, cameras, video cameras and monitors, as well as plastic prisms, which are applied in fingerprint identifiers. It also involves in the design and manufacture of optical moulds and component tools. The Company distributes its products in Taiwan, other Asian markets and the Americas.
