GERMANY: - MODERATE LOSSES EXPECTED - On the German stock market, the Dax is likely to fall again somewhat on Tuesday. Broker IG estimated the leading German index down 0.51 percent to 18,233 points a good two hours before the start of Xetra trading. The previous day, the Dax had approached the 50-day line for the medium-term trend, but remained slightly below it at the close. This means that the Dax is still looking for direction for the time being, although it has already recovered to some extent from the losses caused by the political risks with regard to France. In the USA, tech stocks fell with significant losses in the shares of AI flagship company Nvidia, while the Dow Jones Industrial benchmark index continued to make up ground. According to experts, the rally in the sector, which had driven the bull market, took a breather.

USA: - TECHS WEAKEN - On Wall Street, the Dow Jones Industrial continued its good performance of the previous week on Monday and made further gains. It is now trading at the same level as at the end of May. In the technology sector, the accelerated slide in Nvidia shares weighed on sentiment. According to observers, the slide in the chip company's share price could indicate that the rally in the sector, which has driven the bull market, is now taking a breather. The Nasdaq 100, which is dominated by tech stocks, closed down 1.15 percent at 19,474.62 points. The broad market S&P 500 fell by 0.31 percent to 5447.87 points. The leading Dow index rose by 0.67 percent to 39,411.21 points.

ASIA: - OVERWHELMING GAINS - The most important stock markets in Asia mostly rose on Tuesday. They thus defied the weakness of US tech stocks, where investors continued to cash in after a strong run. In Tokyo, Japan's leading index, the Nikkei 225, rose by 0.8 percent shortly before the end of trading. In the Chinese special administrative region of Hong Kong, on the other hand, the technology-heavy Hang Seng Index rose by around 0.5 percent. In contrast, the CSI 300, which includes the most important stocks on the Chinese mainland stock exchanges, was down moderately in late trading.
