Young Fast Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the full year ended December 31, 2018. For the full year, the company announced sales was TWD 738.793 million compared to TWD 894.210 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 109.458 million compared to TWD 73.016 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 118.978 million compared to net loss of TWD 5.589 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.84 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of TWD 0.01 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.79 compared to basic loss per share of TWD 0.04 a year ago.
Young Fast Optoelectronics Co., Ltd is principally engaged in the development, design, manufacture and distribution of touch panels and others. The Company operates its business through two segments: Optoelectronic segment and Mechanical and Electronic segment. The Optoelectronic segment provides projection capacitive touch panels and four-wire resistance touch panels. The Mechanical and Electronic segment provides 69- and 161-kilovolt (KV) connection boxes, 69- and 161-KV terminal boxes and 69- and 161-KV power cable protection equipment. Its touch panels are applied in manufacture of smart phones, mobile phones, personal navigation devices and other consumer electronics. The Company distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets.
