0827 GMT - Woori Financial Group Inc. is among the most mentioned companies over the past 12 hours, according to Factiva data, after the Seoul High Court upheld a lower court's ruling in favor of the group chairman, Son Tae-seung. Woori appealed a ruling by the Financial Supervisory Service in June 2020 that the company failed to adequately monitor high-risk derivative-linked funds, thus failing to protect the fiduciary interests of individual investors who didn't understand the complex financial products, according to Yonhap News Agency. Woori Financial also reported first-half results Friday, showing strong growth in terms of revenue and profit. Dow Jones & Co. owns Factiva. (jacques.vanwersch@dowjones.com)
