Waseda Academy Co., Ltd. (TSE:4718) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 370,000 shares, representing 4.44% of its share capital, at ¥1,639 per share for ¥606.43 million. The company will repurchase its shares in order to enable the implementation of a flexible capital policy in the future, along with aiming to improve capital efficiency. As of February 6, 2018, the company had 8,334,819 shares outstanding (excluding treasury shares) and 157 shares in treasury.
WASEDA ACADEMY CO.,LTD. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in education-related businesses and real estate leasing business. The Company operates through two business segments. The Education-related business provides exam preparation education for students, sells English education lessons and educational contents.
