Walmart has agreed to a preliminary development deal to open a new store in Teays Valley. A Walmart Neighborhood Market store and adjoining gas station would be built on an eight-acre parcel of land on Teays Valley Road. The location is next to the Fox Run subdivision and across from business hub Teays Plaza.
The store would cover about 42,000 square feet. An average Supercenter is 182,000 square feet.
