CGG: phase 2 of the Foz do Amazonas survey

CGG and TGS announce the second phase of the 3D multi-client study of Foz do Amazonas, in Brazil's equatorial margin, which covers 11,425 square kilometers and will provide additional high-quality data for exploration in this area.

Existing 2D data and adjacent 3D data indicate the presence of reservoir depositional channels and a source interval contemporary with the Guyana Basin petroleum system in this location', stresses the French geosciences group.

The first PSDM imaging products will be available in Q4 2023, with final products planned from Q3 2024. This project has been pre-financed by industry.
