Tokyo Sangyo Co. Ltd. (TSE:8070) agreed to acquire the remaining 35% stake in Suzuka Kenki K.K. from Sumitomo (S.H.I.) Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. on March 31, 2011. The acquisition will be made by Tokyo Sangyo using funds on hand. Suzuka Kenki K.K. will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tokyo Sangyo on closing. The transaction was resolved by the Board of Directors of Tokyo Sangyo. The impact of the transaction in Tokyo Sangyo's consolidated and non-consolidated performances is negligible.
