1016 GMT - Jeep maker Stellantis is among the most mentioned companies across news items in Europe over the past 12 hours, according to Factiva data, after its Chief Executive said it may close or idle car plants, with inflation leading costs higher as it switches to electric models. Increased costs could lead to higher prices for cars and a shrinking of the market, meaning the auto maker wouldn't need so many plants, Carlos Tavares said, according to Reuters. Stellantis also said Thursday that it would create a data-service business called Mobilisights as it beefs up its software offering. Dow Jones & Co. owns Factiva. (edward.frankl@dowjones.com)
