Stla Large is the second of the four global Bev platforms planned by the group to meet the goals of its 2030 strategic plan after the one called 'Stla Medium,' unveiled last July, a note explains.

It is a flexible platform with leading performance in its segment in terms of battery capacity, charging efficiency and acceleration, capable of supporting different types of vehicles such as sedans, crossovers and SUVs in D and E segments.

It will initially be used for the North American market by the Dodge and Jeep brands, which will be followed by other brands including Alfa Romeo, Chrysler and Maserati for a total of eight models launched in the 2024-2026 period.

"Stla Large-based fullsize vehicles are focused on customer demand in major global markets," says Stellantis.

The new platform will be produced at several plants in Europe and North America, and multi-energy variants, including hybrid and internal combustion, will be available.

As part of its electrification plan, Stellantis is investing more than 50 billion euros over the next decade to reach the goal of 100 percent of the sales mix with battery electric vehicles (Bevs) in Europe and 50 percent with passenger cars and light commercial vehicles Bevs in the U.S. by 2030.

To achieve these goals, the group is securing about 400 GWh planned battery capacity through the support of six battery manufacturing plants in North America and Europe.
