PARIS, June 19 (Reuters) - Societe Generale has agreed to sell its subsidiary Shine, which offers online business accounts, to Ageras, the French bank said on Wednesday.

SocGen, which did not disclose any financial details regarding the transaction, said the sale formed part of its strategy to focus more on its core French retail bank business.

SocGen acquired Shine in June 2020

. Shine was launched in 2018 and according to SocGen's website it has 100,000 customers.

Ageras operates in the same field as Shine, and was founded in 2010 by entrepreneurs Rico Andersen and Martin Hegelund. (Reporting by Sudip Kar-Gupta; editing by Jason Neely)
