SM Energy Company reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported revenue was USD 550.75 million compared to USD 992.1 million a year ago. Net income was USD 149.87 million compared to USD 323.49 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.26 compared to USD 2.65 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.25 compared to USD 2.6 a year ago.
For the six months, revenue was USD 1,124.26 million compared to USD 1,851.88 million a year ago. Net income was USD 348.43 million compared to USD 372.25 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 2.89 compared to USD 3.05 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 2.88 compared to USD 3 a year ago.
