Sage : leaders named to Accounting Todays 2021 list of the 100 Most Influential People in Accounting

ATLANTA(Dec. 20, 2021) -Sage(FTSE: SGE), the leader in accounting, financial, HR and payroll technology for small and mid-sized businesses, announced two leaders are recognized in Accounting Today's 2021 listof theTop 100 Most Influential People in Accounting.
This annual list honors the Top 100 people in high-profile roles who are advancing the accounting profession and who have made an exceptional impact over the past year as they continue to help their businesses navigate a global pandemic. The two Sage leaders recognized this year are Ed Kless, senior director of Partner Development and Strategy, and Kevin Cumley, senior director of the Sage Intacct Accountants Program.
Kless, who joined Sage in 2003, develops and delivers curricula for Sage business partners around small business consulting and pricing. Additionally, he hosts theSage Thought Leadership Podcastand co-hostsThe Soul of Enterprisewith Ron Baker, founder of the VeraSage Institute and fellow Top 100 awardee. Accounting Today notes, "Accountants think differently" thanks to the ideas Kless shares on the shows and at conferences. This is Kless' seventh year in a row being named to the list.
A colleague at Sage since 2014, Cumley is responsible for managing the outsourced accounting and business process outsourcing (BPO) channelforSage Intacct Accountants Program. Cumley has more than 30 years of experience in the accounting profession, building and running successful ERP businesses. He is recognized as a leading expert in client accounting services (CAS) using cloud financial solutions. Accounting Today praised him for being a high-value facilitator who partners with practices by not only providing cloud-based tools, but also guiding them through planning and executing a detailed CAS strategy. This is Cumley's second year in a row being named to the list.
Other noteworthy people included on the list were Erik Asgeirsson, president and CEO, CPA.com; Joe Biden, U.S. President; Janet Yellen, U.S. Secretary of Treasury; Gary Gensler, SEC Chairman; Kevin Dancey, CEO, IFAC; and Barry Melancon, president and CEO, AICPA.
