ROYAL HOLDINGS Co., Ltd. reported consolidated earnings results for the six months ended June 30, 2019. For the quarter, the company reported net sales of JPY 68,381 million against JPY 66,299 million a year ago. Operating income was JPY 1,692 million against JPY 2,056 million a year ago. Net income attributable to owners of the parent was JPY 754 million or JPY 20.22 per share against JPY 1,092 million or JPY 28.76 per share a year ago.
For the fiscal year ending December 2019, the company expects net sales of JPY 143,000 million, operating income of JPY 6,300 million and net income attributable to owners of parent of JPY 3,000 million or JPY 80.38 per share.
ROYAL HOLDINGS Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based company engaged in the restaurant business, contract business, in-flight meal business, hotel business and food business. The Company has five segments. The Restaurant segment is engaged in the operation of hospitality restaurants Royal Host and other chain restaurants, as well as beer restaurants, cafeterias and other specialty restaurants. The Contract segment is engaged in the provision of dining services for customers in airport terminal buildings, expressway service areas, commercial facilities, office buildings, nursing facilities and others. The In-flight Food segment is engaged in the provision of in-flight meal services for Fukuoka, Tokyo International and other airports. The Hotel segment is engaged in the operation of Richmond Hotel and other business hotels. The Food segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of food for the restaurant and contract business. The Company is also engaged in the leasing of real estates.
