Pioneer Railcorp is a railroad holding company that owns short line railroads and various other railroad related businesses, including a railroad equipment company and a contract switching services company. Railroad transportation is provided by the Company's short line railroad subsidiaries (Pioneer Lines). Pioneer Lines handles approximately 20 rail operations in over 10 states with approximately 600 miles of track serving over 100 customers. Pioneer Lines offers a range of services for the railroad industry, which include switching services, railcar storage, railcar repair, railcar cleaning and railcar leasing. The Company's subsidiaries include Decatur Junction Railway Co., Elkhart & Western Railroad Co., Fort Smith Railroad Co., The Garden City Western Railway, Inc., Georgia Southern Railway Co., Gettysburg & Northern Railroad Company, Indiana Southwestern Railway Co., The Keokuk Junction Railway Co. and Kendallville Terminal Railway Co.
