PIMCO Income Strategy Fund (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund’s investment objective is to seek high current income, consistent with the preservation of capital. The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by utilizing a dynamic asset allocation strategy that focuses on duration management, credit quality analysis, risk management techniques and broad diversification among issuers, industries and sectors. The Fund normally invests in a diversified portfolio of floating and/or fixed rate debt instruments. The Fund focuses on seeking income-generating investment ideas across multiple fixed income sectors, with an emphasis on seeking opportunities in developed and emerging global credit markets.
