The launch of 'Good Energy' with a new, refreshed logo is the first significant change to the Origin brand in its 18-year history - with a campaign launching this weekend across TV, digital and outdoor.

'Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. We've listened to what they have to say and they expect us to deliver energy that is affordable, sustainable, smarter and easier to understand,' said Origin's head of retail, Jon Briskin.

'We're not pretending that our industry isn't facing challenges or that our customers haven't felt these too. By putting the customer front and centre of our brand, it's a reminder of our commitment to getting energy right for our customers today, and making it better for tomorrow.'

Origin has already become the first Australian energy company to formally commit to halving its carbon emissions by 2032, contracted 1.1 gigawatts of new renewable power, secured additional gas for domestic customers and generated more electricity from our power stations to help stabilise the energy market and help put downward pressure on prices.

Origin froze price rises for customers in financial hardship and launched an online comparison tool, Savernator, to make it easier for customers to access savings.

'We know that Good Energy will resonate with customers only if we deliver. We've taken meaningful steps to start to address affordability and this will continue to be a focus. We will continue to roll out new technologies and tools designed that make dealing with us easier

'We'll also keep leading the transition to a cleaner and smarter energy system that Australians can be proud of - one that achieves the reliable and affordable energy customers expect and deserve,' Mr Briskin said.

The launch is being marked with the release of the 'Good Energy Report' that reveals insights about how customers feel about energy today, as well as their hopes for the future.

Origin provides more than four million Australians with electricity, natural gas, solar and LPG, in addition to being one of the nation's leading power generators.
