Cailler, the oldest still existing chocolate brand in Switzerland, is celebrating its 200th anniversary in 2019.
Dedicated to quality since 1819, the Cailler brand is one of Switzerland's best-known and best-loved chocolate brands. At the centre of the anniversary festivities will be 'Maison Cailler' in Broc, Switzerland, where Cailler chocolate has been produced since 1898. Chocolate lovers can look forward to a new innovative product range and special events to celebrate.
The success of Cailler chocolate comes from a deep respect for tradition and the excellence of its ingredients and manufacturing processes. The entire process 'from bean to bar' happens under one roof, including the roasting of the cocoa beans as well as the hazelnuts and almonds used in some chocolates.
A key secret behind Cailler chocolate remains the use of fine milk from the region. The cows that supply the milk graze within 30 kilometres of Broc, on 47 farms certified by the IP-SUISSE standard for their environmentally friendly production. The cocoa is 100% UTZ-certified and sourced from the Nestlé Cocoa Plan.
