SM Chemical Corp acquired ADM21 Co., Ltd from Namsun Aluminum Co., Ltd. (KOSE:A008350), Sanbon Department Store Co., Ltd, Woobang Industrial Co., Ltd, SM Asset Management Co., Ltd and Taekil Construction Co.,Ltd for KRW 18.3 billion on November 22, 2018. Under the transaction, SM Chemical Corp acquires 56.03 million shares at KRW 327 per share Namsun Aluminum, Sanbon Department Store, Woobang Industrial, SM Asset Management and Taekil Construction sold 16.3 million shares, 15.8 million shares, 19 million shares, 4 million shares and 1 million shares respectively of ADM21. Post-acquisition, ADM21 Co., Ltd becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of SM Chemical Corp. The transaction has been resolved by the Board of Namsun Aluminum, Sanbon Department, SM Chemical, Taekil Construction and Woobang Industrial.

Namsun Aluminum Co., Ltd. is a Korea-based company mainly engaged in the manufacture of aluminum products. The Company operates its business through two divisions: aluminum division and automobile division. Its aluminum division engages in the manufacture of aluminum windows and doors, including balcony double windows, balcony single windows, folding doors and partition doors; curtain walls, including stick type, semi unit type and unit type, as well as industrial fabrics. Its automobile division produces bumpers and others used for automobiles. It also provides polyvinyl chloride (PVC) windows. The Company distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets, including America, Japan, Russia, Canada, The Republic of Uganda and others.
