McPhy Energy strengthens its team: Jalal Abdenour appointed regional manager for Middle East, Africa and India
Executive leader with a successful track record of delivering growth in diversified sectors, Jalal Abdenour was appointed by McPhy Energy to accelerate its development in the Middle East, Africa and India region.
La Motte-Fanjas, November 19th, 2014 - McPhy Energy, specialized in hydrogen based solutions for energy storage and industrial applications, has named Jalal Abdenour Chief Executive Officer of McPhy Energy for the Middle East, Africa and India region. McPhy Energy will greatly benefit from Jalal's 23 years' experience and successful leadership track record of delivering growth in diversified businesses in the same region. Throughout his career, Jalal led a portfolio of varied projects, from clean tech to heavy industries, following every footstep from their initial concepts, feasibility studies and business plans through to financing, engineering, procurement and start up. As an expert in the markets of the region, Jalal is fully prepared to immediately embark on developing business in the Middle East, Africa and India, one of McPhy Energy key markets.
Jalal Abdenour's strong business acumen is supported by a depth and breadth of experience in engineering, project management and consulting. For the 9 years prior to joining McPhy, Jalal has been the VP International at Sacré-Davey Engineering primarily focusing on the MENA markets. He started his career in 1991 in Jordan as a production and quality control engineer then moved on to be the head of projects unit at a government entity for project financing. Later he relocated to the United Arab Emirates as a founding member of Business Enterprises Services where he served as a senior consultant/project manager. In 2000, Jalal became the Group Vice President of Ramsson Industrial Enterprises based in Vancouver, British Columbia and the general manager of a JV between Sacré-Davey and Ramsson having the mandate to expand their industrial engineering business in the Middle East, until he was named the VP International Business at Sacré-Davey Engineering in 2005 to lead their expansion in the MENA region.
Jalal holds a B.Sc. Degree and a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering. He is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) member of The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia, Canada. He is also a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) member of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants.
With a focused career in industrial projects and extensive experience in the region, Jalal will be instrumental in accelerating McPhy Energy development in the Middle East, Africa and India.
