Marubeni Corporation (hereinafter, 'Marubeni'), JAG Energy Co., Ltd (hereinafter, 'JKE') and Osaka Gas Co., Ltd (hereinafter, 'Osaka Gas') established a special purpose company, Aichi Tahara Biomass Power Plant G.K. to develop a wood-based power plant, Aichi Tahara Biomass Power Plant, in Tara City, Aichi Prefecture.
This project will cover the construction and operation of a wood-based dedicated biomass power plant with a power generation output of 75MW in Tahara City, Aichi Prefecture, and the sale of the generated electricity. We will aim for the start of power plant operations in October 2024 with the understanding and cooperation of the local population and other related parties.
