FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) - Due to the planned warning strike by aviation security staff on Thursday, Lufthansa is offering its customers extensive rebooking options. At Frankfurt, Hamburg, Bremen, Berlin, Leipzig, Dresden and Erfurt airports, passengers should not come to the airport as boarding is not possible there, the company warned in its app on Wednesday. This also applies to customers whose Lufthansa journey begins by train and who want to board the plane in Frankfurt.

Munich and Nuremberg airports will not be affected by the strike, as employees there work in the public sector. The company called on customers to rebook their flights themselves via the app or to contact a service center. It is now possible for all passengers booked for Thursday to Frankfurt to exchange their tickets for a Deutsche Bahn ticket. Longer waiting and transfer times are to be expected for arriving passengers in the transit area./ceb/DP/stk
