Li-S Energy Limited is engaged in development and commercialization a new type of battery based on Lithium-Sulphur (Li-S) and using boron nitride nanotubes (BNNT) as both an integrated protective insulation layer and a component in composite anodes, which allows faster charging rates and increased battery cycle life. The Company produces batteries in pouch, cylinder and flexible battery formats to address the needs of partners and prospective customers who manufacture drones, electric cars, electric trucks, other electric vehicles, and other applications where battery weight is important, such as the space sector. Its lithium sulfur batteries are lighter, cleaner and greener and deliver more than twice the energy density of lithium ion. BNNT is an advanced nanomaterial with physical properties. It takes advantage of its physical strength, thermal conductivity and electrical resistance as well as some electrochemical properties to enhance its lithium sulfur and lithium metal batteries.
