Kao Corporation (President and CEO: Michitaka Sawada) will make a donation equivalent to approximately five million yen to the Philippine Red Cross for use in relief efforts for the people and regions of the Philippines severely damaged by Typhoon Haiyan. In addition, the Kao Heart Pocket Club, a voluntary aid organization set up by Kao Group employees, will donate 500,000 yen to Japan Platform (JPF), an international emergency humanitarian aid organization, for disaster relief efforts to help the victims.

Pilipinas Kao, the Kao Group company in the Philippines, will also make a donation equivalent to approximately one million yen to the Philippine Red Cross.

Kao expresses its deepest compassion to the people in the disaster area and the regions damaged by the typhoon, and sincerely wishes for an early recovery for the area.
