Heartland Express, Inc. announced earnings results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2019. For the fourth quarter, the company announced sales was USD 167.226 million compared to USD 147.003 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 17.662 million compared to USD 29.559 million a year ago. Net income was USD 12.789 million compared to USD 22.440 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was USD 0.16 compared to USD 0.27 a year ago. For the full year, sales was USD 596.815 million compared to USD 610.803 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 94.275 million compared to USD 89.787 million a year ago. Net income was USD 72.967 million compared to USD 72.677 million a year ago.
