GUINEA INSURANCE PLC - APPROVAL OF EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE AUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENT FOR THE PERIOD ENDED 31ST DECEMBER, 2023.

Guinea Insurance (the Company) wishes to notify its shareholders and the investing public that the Company will not be able to file its Audited Financial Statements (2023 AFS) for the year ended 31 December 2023 within the extended period and consequently will be unable to file the Unaudited Financial Statements for the first quarter ended 31 March 2024 and for the half-year ending 30 June 2024 before the regulatory deadlines.

The delay was occassioned by the need to prepare the 2023 AFS to meet the rigourous requriements of the newly introduced IFRS 17. The Company is still awaiting the approval of its 2023 AFS by the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM).

The Company sincerely regrets any inconveniences that the anticipated delay may occasion to its esteemed shareholders and investing public at large. Guinea Insurance Plc is following up persistently with NAICOM to ensure that the Company's accounts are filed with the Nigerian Exchange Limited on or before 30th day of July 2024.
