Forsee Power announced Thursday that its battery systems have been chosen to equip Toyota's zero-emission vehicles that will transfer athletes during the Paris Olympic Games.

The company says that the Japanese manufacturer's 'Accessible People Mover' (APM) electric shuttles will incorporate 'Zen 8 Slim', the versatile, ultra-flat battery developed by its engineers for the 'off-highway' market.

The APM was specially designed by Toyota to provide a mobility solution for athletes and officials at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The group plans to produce 250 vehicles for the Olympic Games to be held in Paris next summer.

This electric shuttle - which can carry six people including the driver - can transport wheelchair users. It is also available in an emergency version, developed to provide medical assistance, enabling the transport of a stretcher and medical personnel.

The system developed by Forsee should enable it to operate with a range of 100 km.
