Eutelsat: reaches 200,000 Konnect users in Africa
In June 22, Eutelsat joined the Partner2Connect digital coalition set up by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), a platform that aims to promote the digital transition in the most isolated communities.
As part of this initiative, Eutelsat committed to bringing Internet access to 1 million people living in the most underserved regions of sub-Saharan Africa by 2027.
'Eutelsat's commitment to the Partner2Connect digital coalition demonstrates our determination to promote access to connectivity services and bridge the digital divide in sub-Saharan Africa. The major milestone of 200,000 users of the Konnect service attests to our ability to mobilize the resources that will enable us to honor our commitment by 2027', sums up Eva Berneke, CEO of Eutelsat.
