Datadog announced Notebooks, a new interactive environment that helps DevOps teams explore application performance data, create reproducible postmortems, build runbooks, and document infrastructure. This will allow teams to investigate problems together, pinpoint the issues, and detail resolutions for future reference all in one place. Notebooks will replace the need for multiple points of reference such as notes, wikis, documents, screenshots and emails with a centralized location to build a complete narrative around incidents. Users can add live graphs and markdown cells to their postmortems in order to explain what occurred, why it happened, and what was done to remedy the situation for future reference.
