Cielo S.A. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was BRL 2,540.2 million compared to BRL 2,811.86 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 476.74 million compared to BRL 181.33 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.17611 compared to BRL 0.0669 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.17489 compared to BRL 0.06662 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was BRL 5,302.39 million compared to BRL 5,534.43 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 661.28 million compared to BRL 413.4 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.24419 compared to BRL 0.15248 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.2425 compared to BRL 0.15185 a year ago.
