FRESNO, Calif. (AP) _ Central Valley Community Bancorp (CVCY) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $4.4 million.

The bank, based in Fresno, California, said it had earnings of 34 cents per share.

The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 34 cents per share.

The holding company for Central Valley Community Bank posted revenue of $18.3 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $17.8 million, falling short of Street forecasts.

For the year, the company reported profit of $21.4 million, or $1.59 per share. Revenue was reported as $77.1 million.

Central Valley Community Bancorp shares have dropped slightly more than 8% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $19.86, an increase of 1% in the last 12 months.
