BRASKEM S.A. NOTICE TO THE MARKET
São Paulo, January 3, 2023 - BRASKEM S.A. ("Braskem" or "Company") (B3: BRKM3, BRKM5 e BRKM6; NYSE: BAK; LATIBEX: XBRK) hereby announces to its shareholders and the market that the Board of Directors approved the hiring of KPMG Auditores Independentes Ltda. ("KPMG") to provide auditing services of the annual financial statements and review of the Company's quarterly information for the fiscal years from 2023 to 2025, according to Brazilian legislation and regulations, replacing Grant Thornton Auditores Independentes ("Grant Thornton").
KPMG audited the Company's financial statements from 2015 to 2019 and, due to the mandatory rotation of independent auditors provided for in article 31 of CVM Resolution No. 23/21, it was replaced by Grant Thornton from 2020 to 2022. Considering the entire background of Braskem's operations that KPMG has, which facilitates synergy in the performance of its audit activities, the Company opted for this change and had the consent of Grant Thornton.
The Company also informs that KPMG will continue to provide auditing services to comply with US legislation and regulations.
