Europe's main stock markets were up at the start of trading on Thursday, after the Federal Reserve's decision to leave rates unchanged fueled renewed appetite for risky assets.

In Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.83% to 6,990.00 points around 08:10 GMT. In London, the FTSE 100 gained 0.28% and in Frankfurt, the Dax advanced by 0.82%.

The EuroStoxx 50 index was up by 0.86%, the FTSEurofirst 300 by 0.67% and the Stoxx 600 by 0.8%.

On the stock market, Atos climbed 10.5% after Onepoint acquired a stake of almost 10% in the group's capital.

In the morning, investors will follow the final PMI indices for October before the Bank of England's announcements at midday.
