APL Apollo Tubes Limited Provides Update on Order Received from the State Tax Officer, Intelligence, Hosur, Tamil Nadu for the Fiscal Year 2021-22

APL Apollo Tubes Limited announced the reference to its earlier letter dated March 9, 2024 intimating about the assessment order dated March 8, 2024 received from the State Tax Officer, Intelligence, Hosur, Tamil Nadu under Section 74 of the CGST Act, 2017 raising a total demand of INR 186,794,395/- (Including Tax: INR 79,690,442, Penalty: INR 79,690,442 and Interest: INR 27,413,511) on the company for the fiscal year 2021-22. In this regard, the company announced that in a writ petition filed by the company against the said Order, the Hon'ble Madras High Court was pleased to pass an order dated April 10, 2024 setting aside the Order of the State Tax Officer to the extent of INR 183,949,939 and remanding back the matter to the said authority for re- consideration.
