AMP Capital strengthens Alternatives Team with two new hires

AMP Capital has bolstered its Alternatives team with the appointment of Dr Alistair Rew as Senior
Portfolio Manager and Celine Nguyen as Portfolio Manager.
AMP Capital Head of Alternatives Suzanne Tavill says the new hires bring extensive international knowledge and experience that will enhance the team's capability.

Dr Rew worked for more than eight years in New York, London and Sydney at XL Group PLC being promoted to Managing Director. He developed and managed their premier internal hedge fund program that went on to generate top tier performance.
He brings to AMP Capital strong credentials in developing and implementing institutional quality investment and risk management frameworks for large hedge fund programs. Dr Rew commenced in his role this week and will be reporting to Suzanne Tavill.
Ms Nguyen has over six years' experience working as a research analyst at EIM Management in the US where she conducted investment hedge fund due diligence on a range of strategies including long/short equity, convertible arbitrage, global macro, credit and event-driven.
These hires will bring the total number of the team to five investment specialists and reinforces AMP Capital's commitment to the multi-manager Alternatives sector. The team is supported by specialised advisers, dedicated legal, tax and operational resources in the business.
