At Adobe, we pride ourselves on providing innovative solutions for a changing world, and nowhere embodies this passion for innovation more than South Korea. Our teams at Adobe Korea continue to find new and exciting ways to work to help Korean businesses accelerate their digital agendas, develop cutting-edge technologies, and deliver better customer experiences.

Young Chae, now enterprise renewal manager, made the move to Adobe Korea in 2014, after working as an auditor for Deloitte, where Adobe was one of her clients. At the time, Adobe was introducing a new business model - shifting from perpetual licenses to subscription licenses - and Young Chae recognised an opportunity to help drive this change in the market.

South Korea is a high-context culture that places a strong value on relationships when doing business. For this reason, Young Chae says that "clear and precise communication" is one of the most important soft skills in the workplace. By listening and understanding the needs and expectations of your customers and presenting your ideas and information in a clear and effective manner, you can build stronger relationships and drive team effectiveness and success.

Young Chae believes that a culture of learning that encourages employees to try new things can help build new skills while taking the company to new heights. At Adobe Korea, project teams are small and consist of people from different functions and backgrounds. Everyone has a clear picture of the goal and works collaboratively to achieve it, which provides opportunities to learn from others.

One piece of advice for job-seekers? Young Chae says that no one is an overnight success: "We can all learn something new from people around us and even from our own failures. It's those attempts and decisions that have made me who I am now."
