Tökepartner Zrt. is an active manager which invests in micro, small and medium-sized companies located in Hungary. It focuses on technology companies operating primarily in the fields of media and communication, e-commerce, biotechnology, renewable energy and environmental protection. It makes significant minority investments, acquiring typically a 25-50% stake in companies which have been in operation for less than 5 years and which have annual revenues of less than HUF 5 billion. Each individual investment is a minimum of HUF 100 million and the fund can also make follow-on investments, but the total investment in a company during a 12-month period can be a maximum of EUR 2.5 million (approximately HUF 728 million). The lifespan of the fund is 9 years and the investment period is typically 5 years per investment. The fund is mostly financed by European Regional Development Fund through the JEREMIE initiative.
