Zephyr Textiles Ltd. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended December 31, 2016. For the quarter, the company reported sales were PKR 872,080,676 against PKR 908,836,652 a year ago. Operating profit was PKR 56,140,737 against PKR 45,139,561 a year ago. Profit before taxation was PKR 26,769,333 against PKR 12,939,757 a year ago. Profit after tax was PKR 21,340,500 against PKR 7,205,486 a year ago. Earnings per share were PKR 0.36 against PKR 0.12 a year ago.
For the six months, the company reported sales of PKR 1,711,231,167 against PKR 1,785,078,497 a year ago. Operating profit was PKR 101,153,226 against PKR 92,388,901 a year ago. Profit before taxation was PKR 39,221,407 against PKR 25,007,000 a year ago. Profit after tax was PKR 28,447,100 against PKR 13,940,601 a year ago. Earnings per share were PKR 0.48 against PKR 0.23 a year ago.
