Maria Shriver meets with President Barack Obama in the Oval Office to discuss the findings in "The Shriver Report: A Woman's Nation Pushes Back from the Brink" in partnership with Center for American Progress.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Dewey Square Group (DSG) is proud to support this week's nationwide launch of The Shriver Report: A Woman's Nation Pushes Back from the Brink. Produced by Maria Shriver in partnership with the Center for American Progress, the Report is the latest in a series of groundbreaking studies of cultural transformations affecting American women and families. Dewey Square Group helped design, produce, edit and launch the Report, which examines the reasons that 42 million American women and the 28 million children who depend on them live at or on the brink of poverty, and proposes concrete solutions to this developing crisis (www.shriverreport.org).

As part of the launch, Maria Shriver presented a copy of the Report to President Barack Obama at the White House, appeared on NBC's "Meet the Press," "The Today Show," and numerous other programs, and spoke at a daylong event in Washington, DC, The Atlantic presents: The Shriver Report LIVE, with production assistance from Dewey Square Group (events.theatlantic.com). So far, the Report has received coverage in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Huffington Post, TIME, the Atlantic, and the Sacramento Bee, among many other outlets and has received widespread social media acclaim.

The multiplatform project includes the book, a nationwide bipartisan poll, a classroom initiative, a photojournalism project, an HBO documentary "Paycheck to Paycheck: The Life and Times of Katrina Gilbert," and the creation of the Shriver Corps, a partnership with AmeriCorps VISTA program and LIFT to train volunteers to work with low-income families around the country. The Report features essays from Hillary Clinton, Beyoncé, Anne-Marie Slaughter, Howard Schultz, LeBron James, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Sheryl Sandberg and dozens of others.

On January 30, Dewey Square Group will host Maria Shriver at "She Shares," a conversation series with California women leaders moderated by Dewey Square Group principal Karen Breslau and produced by the firm's Sacramento office.
